Adriana Hernandez

Adriana Hernandez

Adriana brings a rich cultural perspective and a deep commitment to early childhood education to her work. Born in Michoacán, México, and raised in Querétaro, México, Adriana discovered her passion for education early on. The opportunity to shape the development of future generations motivates her every day, and she finds joy in helping young learners become confident, socially aware individuals. She values the reciprocal nature of teaching, as she often learns as much from her students as she imparts to them—a true gift, in her words.

Adriana earned her Degree in Preschool Education from the prestigious Centenaria y Benemérita Escuela Normal del Estado de Querétaro. She expanded her teaching credentials with English studies in Vancouver, Canada, and achieved certification as a Montessori AMI Primary Children’s House Teacher, underscoring her dedication to specialized, child-centered educational approaches.

With six years of diverse teaching experience, Adriana has worked with various age groups, from preschool to lower elementary. She began her career at Serret del Bosque College (2015-2016), teaching English and Spanish to preschool students. In 2018, she expanded her expertise at Antonio Mediz Bolio College, where she taught English to lower elementary, middle, and upper-level students. Adriana continued her Montessori journey at Hala Ken Montessori College, starting as a Children’s House Assistant (2018-2019) before advancing to a lead teaching role from 2019 to 2022, where she worked with both Children’s House and Lower Elementary students. Most recently, Adriana co-founded Paxia Montessori, where she also served as a Lead Teacher.

Adriana continually hones her skills through professional development. She holds an English C2 Certificate from Kaplan International Vancouver and a Cambridge Level B2 Certificate. Her Montessori training through AMI for the 3-6 age group has significantly shaped her teaching approach, and she frequently participates in workshops and programs to expand her skill set.

Outside the classroom, Adriana enjoys connecting with nature, traveling, exercising, playing the ukulele, and dancing. A self-taught ukulele player, Adriana believes its joyful sound brings happiness to her life and to those around her. She also embraces ongoing learning, exploring topics that encourage both personal and professional growth. These varied interests fuel her creativity and help her bring fresh energy to her teaching practice.

One of Adriana’s proudest accomplishments was her decision to move to the US to teach at Phase3—a courageous step that has profoundly shaped her personal and professional life. Her dedication to her students and her passion for learning continue to inspire those around her, making her an invaluable member of our early childhood education team.
